I will never talk trash about Clear Channel again, well at least not for a while. The biggest and most popular talk/news radio station in New Orleans is WWL 870 AM. When they had to abandon their downtown studios because of rising water, Clear Channel offered them studio space in Baton Rouge to continue broadcasting, and now all of the local Clear Channel and Entercomm (WWL's parent company) stations have been broadcasting as the United Radio Broadcasters of New Orleans. They have done an excellent job of keeping us informed and have been some people's only connecting with any news. Clear Channel definitely took the high road and did the right thing, instead of the greedy corporate thing in this case.

Thanks, good to know about WWL. Here is the link: http://www.wwl.com/

Also found this on the WWOZ web site:

Radio: WWL has been providing good local broadcasting information, and are still broadcasting via radio at 870 AM. Intercom communications, their parent company, has allowed them to broadcast nationwide.
